Class of 2026 Baccalaureate Service
Brown University’s Baccalaureate service, held at the First Baptist Church in America on Saturday, May 23, 2026, brings together the community’s many spiritual and cultural traditions. The service for graduating seniors features a keynote address by Xochitl Gonzalez ’99, a New York Times bestselling author, Pulitzer Prize finalist, screenwriter and producer.
2026 Graduate School Master’s Ceremony
Brown University Class of 2026 master’s and professional students receive their degrees at the Master’s Ceremony on the College Green on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Graduating students process to the green for the ceremony, which is presided over by Dean of the School of Professional Studies Sandra R. Smith, includes opening remarks by Provost Francis J. Doyle III, a student address by Kenia T. Collins and degree conferrals.

Brown University celebrates its 258th Commencement on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The daylong celebration includes the University Procession, College, doctoral, medical school and University ceremonies, departmental celebrations and other memorable moments for the Class of 2026.
2026 Graduate School Doctoral Ceremony
Brown University Class of 2026 doctoral graduates receive their degrees at the Doctoral Ceremony on Pembroke Field on Sunday, May 24, 2026. The ceremony, presided over by Dean of the Graduate School David P. Lindstrom, features award and degree presentations and a student address by Melanie Ortiz Alvarez de la Campa.
2026 Warren Alpert Medical School Ceremony
Brown University Class of 2026 graduates receive their medical degrees from the Warren Alpert Medical School at First Unitarian Church on Sunday, May 24, 2026. Presided over by Dean of Medicine and Biological Sciences Dr. Mukesh K. Jain, the ceremony includes a faculty address by Dr. Louis B. Rice, a student address by Meylakh Barshay, the reading of the Physician’s Oath and the awarding of degrees.
